Is there a free trial?

Yes, 30 days with full functionality.

What happens after the trial?

A few days before the 30-day trial ends you'll see a reminder on startup asking you to purchase a license. After the trial, a license is required to keep using the app.

What's the difference between Standard and Pro?

How many players you can run at once and how many machines you can use: Standard covers up to 4 players on 3 machines, Pro up to 6 players on 5 machines. Every model works on both tiers, including the CDJ-3000. Running six players on one Pro DJ Link network takes CDJ-3000s and a DJM-V10, but that's Pioneer's hardware limit, whichever license you hold. Both tiers cover paid gigs and commercial events. Standard and Pro were called Personal and Business until October 2026; existing licenses are unchanged.

How do I activate?

Open TimecodeLink, enter your email and license key, and click Activate. You can do this from the startup reminder or anytime by clicking "[EVALUATION LICENSE]" at the top of the app window.

Can I use it on multiple machines?

Yes. A Standard license covers up to 3 machines, a Pro license up to 5. Use the same email and key on each.

What does the license cover?

Every TimecodeLink 0.x and 1.x release. The license never expires and there's nothing to renew. A future major version, 2.0, would be a separate purchase.
